![]() Anyone have advice on the best way to catch a sand sifting goby in a 180. This thing is just covering everything in my tank with sand and I'm over it.

![]() Just surfed the web a bit on this. There's a youtube video of a guy actually fishing in his 210 for his Watchman. Cruel.
There were a couple of suggestions to siphon him out with 1" hose. Have you tried a bottle trap, or maybe you could borrow a fish trap? Last edited by gregzz4; 01-15-2012 at 04:29 PM. |

![]() Quote:
people use hooks to catch fish in their tanks all the time its nothing new, they use barbless hooks that are very small and the fish is unharmed. if you want to catch your goby do it at night when hes settled in its alot easier ![]()

![]() Ya I figured they'd be barbless, but lip piercings for ornamental fish just bothers me in some way.
I have no trouble catching Trout though ![]() |

![]() What I did
The gobie has a main cave that they sleep in. I put the net where 9/10 times he enters and exits. Then I poked a plastic stick into his cave from the opposite side. The gobie bolted out right into the net |

![]() When all other methods failed me, I go fishing. It's the way I've caught almost all fish that I have taken out of my 125 gallon.
