![]() Hey all Im about to embark on creating a nano reef, 20 gallons. I dont really wanna drill my glass and have all that crazy plumbing going do I am thinking about creating a DIY PVC overflow from vids I have seen on youtube and all over the internet. I am curious about this in its affect on my glass, unfortunately my tank is only 6mm or 1/4" thick, will this PVC system be causing to much ware and tear on my rimless tank? please let me know so I can start building asap.

![]() If you can build that then just add a leg down to the stand and that will take the load and all is good

![]() So a leg that supports the U-bend in the PVC piping?

![]() not sure how you are building it but if it goes into a box on the back then down maybe just a slight lift up on the box with the plumbing then u clamped to the stand so the weight is off your glass because your glass is 1/4"and the box is supported by the plumbing just a thought

![]() thanks for your advice, this may help to understand how I inda want my tank to start looking like or get setup as,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_7hEZ9Dba8 I am quite impressed with all the DIY stuff this guy has done and a like the Look of his tank when he is finished, needless to say I am intrigued on setting my tank up very similair to his , in functionality of course. thanks for your one going knowledge haha I hope im not a complete nusence. Cause in functionality his tank worked extremely well and it seemed that only by around 77 days he had outstanding growth and amazing plumbing IMO and this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzt2qXbOah8 Last edited by Beano1169; 01-11-2012 at 09:51 PM.
