![]() Hi
I'll be moving to a new house and switching over my 29G reef to my new 29G cube. I have a 29G cube that is 24" x 24" x 12" deep The internal over flow box has a 1" pipe that I assume has approx 150-200Gph going down it. would 2 x mp 10's do on lagoon mode set at around 2 out of 12 power level? or should I go with a hydor koralia nano at first and 1 mp10? coral's will be: favia brain, blasto, yuma, discoma, dendro, maxi mini carpets, paly's

![]() I'd say one MP10 and a nano. Two MP10s might... no, will... be a little overkill for the size and the livestock (and cost!).
What type of overflow set up do you have? If you have durso or any other type of siphon overflow you can do a lot more than 100 to 200 gph. I use 1" pipes on my beananimal overflow and it easily does 600 gph and realistically I could hit 1000+ gph without issue. Those 1" pipes can handle quite a bit under siphon. |

![]() Since you don't have sps, none of the corals listed need or appreciate really high flow.

![]() my present tank:
I have 1 mp10 set at lagoon mode level 2 in my 29G 30"L x 18"H 12"w and the flow hits the side wall fairly good but any more power and the coral will start to fold back on one side. Only other flow is a hydor korailia #1 behind the rock's and a fluval canister 305 New tank: 24x24x12H the 6" shorter sides give me a little concern with 2 x mp 10's and shorter height cube has a mag 3 return @ 350 gph inwhich approx 250 gph is going to the display and 100 gph going into my refuge area Should I just go with 2 x mp10's and set them both @ # 1 then every day slowly raise it? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() still trying to learn how to use my camera

![]() You got vasaline on your lens!!!
![]() I would go with one MP10 and one K nano or #1. I have a tank with very similar dimensions, and I ran one K2, and a K Nano, with a Mag 9.5 return fed through a SCWD flow director and two outputs, and it was fantastic.

![]() One MP10 should be more than enough, imo.
