Flex tubing for return and overflow

Have anybody switched from rigid pvc with multiple 90s to flexible pvc for return and overflow piping in terms of noise difference? I notice I get the most noise from the 90 degree joints in the 1.5" overflow pipes going down to the basement and I'm looking to reduce (preferbly eliminate) that water noise.
