Default What brand/model is this skimmer?

http://www.canreef.com/photopost/sho...mer-3f&cat=507

I thought it was an MRC skimmer, but when I emailed them with this pic, they said it was not theirs.

I am trying to find some info/instructions on how to tune it.

IT could be a DIY, styled after an ETSS skimmer...tuning is the same on all of them though, maximize the airflow and keep the water level where it skims at a consistency you want (wet or dry)

This skimmer has Beckett venturis, which is why I thought it was an MRC.

The part that I'm having trouble with is inside the box at the base of the main riser. There is an internal acrylic cylinder chamber with a ring that is placed around the outside to create a swirl for the bubbles as they go up to the main riser. This internal cylinder has 2 holes for the pipes coming from the injector tubes in the body.

But I can't figure out how you get these pipes fitted into this internal chamber. Right now, I have them to the side, so the water is not really flowing into that chamber. It still works, and I can't get a lot of skimate in the collector, but it is obviously not set up right.

We'd really need to see close ups of the thing to help figure that out. Check the ETSS line, maybe they have something similar.

I am planning on taking it apart again, so will get some pics of the internal parts that I am talking about.

But I still don't think it is an ETSS type. I looked at them, and they seemed to be downdraft skimmers, rather than Beckett venturi injectors.

It might well be a DIY, but the main parts must have come from some name brand. Especially this internal cylinder chamber, and the ring, can't see how someone could make those.

Hmmm, yes, some of the top parts like the collector, risers and connectors look the same. Different body and input parts, though, but might be same company.

Problem is, I googled Aquamarine and could not find their website. Maybe they are out of business. But it is a definite lead and will continue to search.

Thanks for the help.
