Default Pictures of 145gallon

I just got a digital cam. so i thought id try it out and post some pics on my web page

the 145 has been runnign 1 year and reef since the end of september
dont have to much in it,

the other pics are of my 33gallon with my pink tip anenome

I have to say I am still profoundly jealous of your S. gigantea. Great pictures of it though, I remember the other ones you posted, it really has done well for you. Kudos! And good luck with continued success.

Great shot of your clown in the carpet anemone
Its got to be 10-12inches wide.Nice looking tanks.

There is egg on my face. I was looking at your anemone again ... and .... I don't think you have S. gigantea. Looking at the pictures here http://www.geocities.com/fish_boy1986/anemone.html it's quite apparent the carpet has tentacles much, much longer towards the centre of the oral disk versus the periphery of the oral disk, and this is a classic ("textbook") trait of S. mertensii.

Not to alarm you, but S. mertensii is perhaps the largest of all the hosting anemones. They can easily get to a meter in diameter in the wild

But don't get me wrong, it's a VERY cool anemone still, whatever species it is.

i was told it was a pink tip carpet it might be wrong i have never been able to find anything like it anywhere online or in books
i have always wondered what the scientific name of it was or if it is that in fact
so it might possible be what you say

heh, I have tried to look at this tank all day long. Everytime I check, it's outta service! luckily, the hour rolls over in just a few moments and I can check again...
