![]() background info for the pics:
i've never really cleaned out this one section of my sump, my skimmer was always in there... i just changed to an external skimmer and since i was doing a water change i figured it was time to clean it out... i was grossed out enough by what i found, i figured i'd take some pics and share! lol ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() gross!

they were in a section of my sump that will now be vacuumed regularly, so i wanted to clear them out. basically to reduce the chances of my fingers getting "bristlewormed" when i've got my hands in the sump! hmmm, it didnt even occur to me to relocate them... i just instinctively toss them every time i come across one. FWIW theres thousands more where those came from! i know they are excellent detrivores, in the past when i've had a fish die, theres never been a carcass left for me to identify.

![]() I have not tried this myself, but I have read that if you put some food into a nylon stocking at night, then the bristle worms get caught up in the mesh.
