Default did I kill it all, KH of around 30

so I removed my old frag tank today, and installed the new 90 gal frag tank.

everything fine.

so I made new S water 2 days ago to go in, as I needed more water.

I had a 25 gal tub and 3x 5 gal cans with water.

while removing the old frag tank, and making space for the new one, I put aside the 5 gal can with sodium bic. (baking soda mix) (there was still 2.5 gallon in there.

so when filling up the new frag tank, it was all running fine, untill, the shock of my live, I tossed the 2.5 gal of baking soda in as well.

bang, everything white as hell.

I mesured directly after and I get to around a KH of 30 to 32

proublem is i dont have any more water to quickly take tank water out and new water in to lower it (I can make 27 gal in about 14 houre)

did I kill everything ????? is it by by nice 450 gal tank???

dard,, FFF, and all the rest

I know that Instant Ocean had some bad salt that raised alk to about 30, most people lost everything in the tank...

Kevin, if the alk is that high, I'm not sure tomorrow will be soon enough.

I've used vinager in my freshy tanks before, and it worked great.
I would think you could use it in saltwater as well.

Good luck
