![]() hello all. I have taken the dive back to the nano-reef sized aquariums. I presently closed down my 85 g and opted to run the newer BC29 HQI.
My question is what protein skimmer is everybody using? What is the best one? Money is not an issue, I believe in paying now for good stuff and not paying later . Thanks guys!

![]() Hello, I have a question in regards to a protein skimmer for the HQI model as not all the usual skimmers for the basic BC29s apply for the HQI. The only model I have found so far is the aquaticlife mini skimmer 115. Is there any other options out there for skimmers to be used other than this one? Does anyone know of any good websites/sponsors that sell possibly smaller EXTERNAL(Not HOB) types?
Thanks so much for your time

![]() i put a deltic MCE 300 HOB on my 22 nano, its super quiet and skims well, pricey and is a PIA to start up if turned off.
