![]() There are so many kind of nudis and many of them look very similar to each other, so getting an ID could be difficult. Most nudis have very selective diets, and most will not survive long term in our reefs, so pest or not it is usually best to remove them since many will release a lot or a little toxin when they die. I'm the surprised the Nudis themselves had strong enough tissue that they could take Zoa tissue with them without that Nudi ripping.

![]() i was suprised they didnt rip aswell... especially the ones that were on two polps and i could get underneath....
they were a matte black about 5-8 mm in lenth and had little horns or spikes on thier back... i always remove anything i havnt put in my tank if i can... if research leads me to believe its ok then i will leave it in... but this was like 4 in the morning and i just finished wrapping gifts.... nudis are one thing that i would never second guess and would always remove upon sight...

sounds like zoa eating nudis to me , they are not good and probably came in on a frag or coral.take out any you see and if its just a small zoa frag give it a freshwater dip but they are quite hard to get rid of ![]()

![]() Zoa eating nudi are not black, they are beige or light brown.
Does it look like this? if so, they are sponge eaters and will not toutch the zoanthids: ![]() There is another creature that look similar and does not have the white tip on the entennas but I can't rememnber the name, it's stuctus? or something like that and also does not eat the zoanthids.
