![]() Found! thanks so much for all the help!
Im looking for external pump or sump pump, high gph flow... I am running 2 15,000k and would like more color so a 10,000k would be nice even if someone hears of them on sale. thanks! Last edited by King Triton; 12-10-2010 at 02:30 AM. |

![]() You will get less color with a lower Kelvin bulb. You would be looking for a higher Kelvin bulb. I have a couple of Coralife 10,000K bulbs and I use them for backups they are horrible bulbs with really bad color. Looks like someone peed in the water!

![]() Ya 10,000k is more for growth but also more yellow.
You will want to go to 20,000k then they will be more on the blue side.

![]() Thanks for reply! I had 2 20,000k and found they do not last long. Between the actinic lighting, 1 -14,000k and a 10,000k it seems to give a blue spectrum yet still yellows in it with good response from corals.

i could be wrong but its my understanding that a 20000k bulb should last longer but they all should be replaced once a year ![]() ![]()

So stick with what works I guess. The 15,000k are good so far. Thanks. |
