What temperature does everyone keep there tank at? http://canreef.com/vbulletin/showthr...ht=temperature GFO and phosphate filters are only an option for reducing and maintaining phosphate. It is possible to have high phosphate without problematic algae. Enough of the right herbivores can keep anything down. However phosphate inhibits calcification so you may still experience stunted growth and possibly other problems in your SPS.
