Default New from Edmonton

hey guys i was referred here from a fellow member on a different forum...

hoping to get some wicked advice on a new tank setup im doing

right now im running a 10G FW tank with some fish.. hoping to get rid of the fish and house my 3 RCC's 1 male 2 female(1 prego)

already found 2 more tanks i might pick up at the end of this week one for the breeding of the RCC and the other one for a full 50/50 BW land/water setup since i will try and find myself some mudskippers to go with the RCC's..

need some advice on water filters preferably in tank canisters or waterfall types for the land/water BW

and also anyone know where i can get play sand? and which is the best for RCC's

thanks guys!

Welcome to Canreef I know nothing about your crabs but they sound neat. Have you ever seen the Volcano tank which houses shore crabs?

thanks guys! the RCC are wicked to watch.. as they are night scavangers although my tank does not have play sand at the moment they run around at night picking at anythign on the ground.. only seen with a light at night but searching for them is fun

i had a Fiddler crab in the tank for a few days till i removed him and up'd with the 2nd female RCC

i find having 2 types of crabs in such a small tank such a waste as they fight for territory

thats a crazy setup! i dont think i have the room for such a wicked setup! love the look! just scared that the crabs could escape.. i've seen some get scared and literally jump off their rocks... even on land...

much inspiration right there for my new setup!
