| ply wood tank Has anyone done this or herd of this??? I want to make 2 cube tanks from ply wood and fiberglass and use my existing 80 gal to make a podium type tank. I would take the front and 2 sides of the 80 and silicone it to the 2 cubes and then get a new front made up and silicone it and make a few cross braces for extra support?? What do u guys think |

| Plywood tanks are great for large applications where glass/acrylic would be too heavy/expensive/ungainly since plywood is cheap and can be built on site with regular wood tools. Plywood tanks are also good for in-wall tanks since you only need one transparent side. They are essentially inside-out boats with the wood on the outside and the fibreglass/epoxy coating on the inside. |
