Default O.C. Nano display tank

Oceanic Corals officially has it's own nano display system running utilizing the
O.C ICE CooL.E.D 27W spotlight as a lighting system.

heres some pictures, follow us to see how this tank is going to mature.

Nice nano and LED. I would like to try that LED too if you have good result on the growth and colour of your corals. Cheers.

These Spotlights are giving off quite a bit of PAR, somewhere in the range of 175-250W MH (par value of 250 at 10" depth) so we are expecting them to work quite well!

How far up from the water surface do you mount the light? When will you start taking order?

the light is mounted roughly 10" from the surface and is giving par value of 220ish half way down the tank when we tested it this afternoon.

As for orders, We are taking orders anytime! But the wait time on these bulbs are somewhere between a month to a month and a bit depending on the speed the manufacture makes them at. However we will be bringing in a batch of these bulbs, i would estimate roughly 30+ bulbs would come in during the first shipment from the manufacture.

Theres 1 sexy shrimp inside already! i think a group of 3 would give the tank some movement, but they are so small i have to search for the 1 sexy thats currently inside. Not to mention it sits inside the SPS frags and stresses the crap out of them.

update time.

Paul decided to change the bulb out to the 12K without my permission...i hate him lol jk. The 12K bulb looks pretty nice, definitely alot less blue but still gives the corals that pop in color that everyone wants. Water has cleared up but we have some little flatworms issue, the non acro eating ones that just sit on the glass and looks hideous. A new stand was made for the tank so that people no longer have to bend down to look at it.

Other then that not much change, the colors are staying pretty good. The valida has gotten some of its colors back from being bleached under the 400W MH. But all corals seems to be holding its color. temp stays steady at 79.4-80.3 throughout the day. Thats how much heat is being transfered into the tank

More update to come next week.
