Seriously How Do Some Store's Stay Open!!!

So as a few of you who meet me know I don't have a great filter on what I think & say.

But seriously how the hell do certain shop's stay open when you have no idea how to talk to or respect your customer's. Most of you know that there is only one store in my city that does SW, no need to mention any name's. I have been in there a couple of time's and have left not impressed AT ALL. Dirty, disorganized and absolutely no customer service what so ever. The last time I was there there where 2 people working and neither of them even greeted me at all.

Now after talking with a few buddies and fellow reefer's I find out the a couple of them have been more or less banned from the store. They were frequent customer's to the store and also helped out there on occasion. The reason they were told not to come back was because of who they chose to have as friends and the fact that they go to the big city LFS.

Now come on that is ridiculous and no way to run a business. I have been to every shop from Calgary to Edmonton, have always been greeted by staff, all the shop's were clean and organized. As a small business owner myself I treat every customer like they might be the last.

Just my opinion.

Only reason for a store like that to stay open is because there is no competition.
If another shop opened near by with similar stock/prices but much better customer service, it would just be a matter of time.

Exactly!!! And we are all hoping that will happen in the near future. Myself I will drive to the cities because the LFS staff are great, knowledgeable & friendly.

Tell you what grizz, I know how you feel! Ive been in that very LFS just long enough to turn around to walk out.

I have no idea how you can run a shop like that. We have a LFS in RMH that is not alot better. It may be cleaner but not run any better. I know between myself and local friends in the hobby they lost over 6000 smackers in the last year. All you can do is take the paycheque elsewhere. JL gets things here within 3-4 days.

I have ordered dry good's from J&L during there last Boxing Day Sale, would like to do a group livestock order after my 165 is up for a few new residence. Will post when ready if anyone else is interested.

Go onto Fauna Classified and into the Canadian Board of Inquiry, he has an entire thread for just him and his "shop" you will find its not just with SW reptiles as well. I seen a couple months ago he was trying to buy stuff off people on here because noone would sell to him.

Haha, *insert owner's name here*.... Hahahaha... That guy is just too much. Its not the livestock/'product' sales that keep him open... its other 'sales'...

You guys just HAVE to boycott him. Everyone has to.

I bet if someone opened a small 'basement/garage' store even with cheap rubbermaid tanks, and a reptile breeder that bred alot joined up with this person, they'd put *insert owner's name again*, out of business within months.

Why not fill that 165 up with stock and sell it to to other reefers locally? Once the stock is getting low....... Fill it again! Every single sale you make (Even if it's just to break even.) ensures you take a potential sale away from that loser. It doesn't take a whole bunch for a LFS to feel it. Hehehe.
