Default PH monitor

ok I just purchased a ph monitor that has a TDS tester as well but I didnt receive the solutions to calibrate it with, so does anyone know where i can get some in the edmonton area. Thanks

Which device did you want to calibrate, the PH monitor or the TDS tester? If it's the PH monitor, you should be able to get the fluid from your LFS. If it's the TDS tester, I wouldn't bother to calibrate it. It's testing water conductivity. It won't drift too far. Beside, you are always trying to aim for 0ppm with your ro-di water.

Actually it might be self calibrating...can you adjust it?

well the PH was reading 8.8 so I did a test with my chemical tester and it was about 8.3 so I dropped the reading on the monitor to that for now until I get some solution from the LFS.

Abe,

you can pick them up from Aquarium Illusion they are 1.50 or 2.00/ pack.

Is the Ph probe going in your tank?
if so calibrate using 2 solutions PH7 and PH10

if going in your reactor the PH will be lower than 7 so you might want to calibrate with PH4 and PH7 solutions...
