Default advice needed urgent.

I just found a baby spiny urchin in my sump and i was hoping someone could give me some advice

its about half an inch in size

keep it or ditch it, and if keep it, should i put it in the refugium or leave it in the sump, or move it to the main tank.

any advice would be appreciated

keep it, just make sure your rock is well placed so it can't knock it over. I would put it in the refuge myself.

If its the typical black spiny urchin, I agree with Steve. These guys grow very fast and eat coraline very fast. From what I have noticed, they clean off the algae right down to bare rock very quickly. I've been trying to bag mine for quite some time. Mostly nocturnal in activity in my tank.

I haven't witnessed any problems with them other than the occational spine in the finger
