I seem to be having troble with my ca reactor, deltek 501. I set up the reactor 2 weeks ago. I am now at a bubble count of 1 every 3 sec. with a ph reading of 6.90 to 7.00 the out flow is turnd down as far as i can get it with out the fitting for the ph probe leaking.but I am still having trouble getting the ph down to around 6.5. any suggestions would be great thanks boots |

![]() Never used a deltec reactor before but 1 bubble/3 secs sounds a little low. I'd bump up the bubble rate. I'm running just about 1 bubble/sec for my Geo reactor now.

![]() I run mine at around 60 - 80 bubbles a sec and flow is just before a stream coming out ( i call it a broken stream ) This gives me a reading of 6.5 ish using Rowalith media. This is maintaining calc. levels of 420 ish and Alk of 8.6 - 9.0 dkh.
I have been running at these level on my old 225 gal and as well on my new 315 gal reef as well. I do find i have to make a few adjustments from time to time to maintain this though. Depends on your feed pump as well. By the way my probe holder leaked as well for the first while , although i was able to seal it up. |

![]() now that I have my reactor running like they say it should ph 6.5 inside reactor, i find that my dkh/ca levels have gone way up.
My ca is at 450 ppm/dkh is at 11 is this cause for concern I have been monitoring it for the past few days and it seems to be stable there. Or should i back off my bubble count to 1 bubble every 2 sec. to bring the ph down so that it is not dissolving so much media |
