![]() I've got a 55 gallon tank FOWLR (for now) with a sixline wrasse. I would like to add an orchid dottyback. I've searched several sites but the info is limited. Some sites say you shouldn't mix wrasses with dottybacks but I'm wondering if these two would get along. I'm pretty confident that the orchid dottyback would be tank raised which from my understanding should make it a little more docile. If the orchid dottyback is not a good choice would anyone have any suggestions on another active colourful fish I could look at besides dwarf angels or chromis.

![]() My experience and reading of the Orchid Dotty, Pseudochromis fridmani is a lovely slightly timid fish that inhabits the crevices at the base of my liverock. She is a simple excavator keeping her little cave free of debris but not enough to make a mess of the tank or corals.
I can't comment on how this fish is with wrasses or other dotties but she is a great companion to my clownfish. |
