![]() What do you guys think?
I'm guessing a Bristleworm got him. Tank has 2 gobies, 1 blenny, 3 hermits, few snails... mix of lps/softies... I can't think of anything else that it could be. |

![]() Those look pretty big for bristles. Are they rigid? Maybe parasites.

![]() You can't see bristleworm spikes, trust me, I've had to remove them from my fingers!

![]() Well they're gone this morning, there's a couple marks left behind. I have no idea what they are/were. I haven't seen any sort of parasite that (searching the web) looks like that.
They are rigid, they didn't sway at all while the fish was swimming around etc. The almost look like bones, but they wouldn't be gone today if that's what they were. |

![]() I dunno, my royal gramma ran afoul a large bristleworm last year, and he looked like a dog who'd played with a porcupine. They eventually fell out with no help from me.

when i was first setting up my tank i was lowering a piece of liverock into the tank when i got this agonizing stabbing pain in my finger. i nearly dropped the rock, but placed it down and brought my hand out. couldnt see a thing, but there was SOMETHING in my finger. took me a day to get them all out. it's almost like having miniscule fibreglass splinters in your finger. |
