We are getting in an order of high quality, industrial grade, Clear Water ozone generators.

In order to provide you with the best quality product that we can, we at Ottawa Inverts, we have experimented with different types of Ozone generators and found that the lower end units required disassembly and cleaning with muriatic acid once a month. This type of cleaning is both dangerous and tedious. Where as the Clear Water units require little to no cleaning and are well know to provide years of reliable service.

These units are best suited for humid conditions (such as around aquariums ) as they use UV to generate Ozone as opposed to Corona Discharge. The problem with using Corona Discharge units for our applications in aquariums, is that one must use a desicants airdryer for all of the air that is run through the ozone generator or the wire used to create ozone will oxidize. Desicants can be easily recharged within the oven but, it's much more maintenance when it is compared to the UV Ozone generator.

For all of you that have seen a presentation by Anthony Calfo, you will aleady know the importance of Ozone in maintaining a high enough redox level required for a clean tank. For those of you that missed either presentation, redox measures the amount of oxygen available to break down unwanted organics within your tank (which your skimmer can then remove). A low redox level (100 mV) indicates a high level of organics withing your system, aka a "dirty" tank. What is your tanks redox?

These ozone generators can be installed by running your input air for your skimmer through the ozone generator and a redox controller is highly recomended.
