Default lighting photos - pic intense

thought i'd just start a new thread for these, says quinn, as he puts on his sunglasses... freakin' bright in this room.

dual 400w ushio's. fans are not hooked up yet. temp has risen about three degrees F in the two hours or so since they've been on.

this is a pic of a heat hole in my rocks, fish should be able to swim right up and through it...

haven't read anything about them not (as opposed to lionfish or something like that). however i don't think one will fit into my plans at this point, probably best left until later down the road. quite honestly i think i'll just leave the tank empty for a while, few months at least, other than a few simple frags and perhaps some very small fish. my original stocking plan just wasn't intelligent and i'm still in the process of rethinking it... one of the harder things that i've encountered in this hobby so far.

Looking good Tee Vee. Is that the Lace rock in these photos. Interested because I am going to go that route in my other 30 gal tank. Is there some live rock in there or is it all Lace rock or whatever you call it.

about 120lbs of dead rock that a guy was selling. it was live at one point but after sitting out of water for five years... apparently he got it from bow valley back in the day. it's decent stuff, i paid $1.00/lb for it, and got some nice shapes. i also have 70lbs of J&L kanai rock in there, which i think was good bang for the buck.
