![]() I've never been a big believer in skimming the snot out of one's system so I've always stuck to skimmers which probably slightly undersized for my system such as a ER CS6-2 or my old Tunze venturi skimmer. But I've always wanted to see what a monster skimmer would or could do and I've always wanted to try a recirc skimmer. Well, now I have both in the form at a Warner Marine RX200!
It's a big sucka (please excuse the dirty laundry). Gonna have to do some reconstuctive sump surgery to shoehorn this guy in. ![]() Sexy removable bubble plate. Note the machined concave holes. ![]() Close up on the sch80 fittings. ![]() Needlewheel in the sedra 9000HO. The exit has been bored out. ![]() Tiny bubbles during initial cleaning with water and vinegar ![]() Even with just vinegar and water the skimmer produces a very stable foam head ![]() Going to put it to work in the next few days as soon as I get some spaflex from McKenzie (thanks, dude) |
