branching fire corals
has anyone ever had a fire coral that encrusted the glass? mine has grown to the point that a few tips are touching the back glass and there is now a patch around the tips on the glass about 2" around that appears to be the same texture and color as the main colony. i would post a pic but the wifes out and im not that talented.

I would think it would as glass is not that different than rock for it to grow on.

Encrusting Firecoral
my firecoral is doing exactly the same thing. two of its branches are creating encrusting patches on the backwall while one of its branch is smothering a portion of my encrusting montipora. haha i let it be for the sake of the strong shall dominate.
