![]() Well i finally took the plunge and upgraded my woefully inadequate lights to a 2 x 250 w aqualight pro. Can anyone tell me what sort of an acclimation period i should use on my tank so i dont burn everything off?

![]() depending on what you're upgrading from, I'd do an hour on hour off schedule gradually adding 15 minutes on to that every week until you're at full bore. If you've really gone nuts on the upgrade, start with a half hour on, hour off and add 15 mins per week.

![]() Thanks Christy. I went from some T5NO to 250 MH so its a huge upgrade. I am currently running the Actinics for 12 Hr per day and currently have the MH on for only 1 hour per day. How long should i stay at 1 hour and how much to bump it up by each time? I was thinking just bump it up by 15 mins per day until i got to 8 hrs?

![]() Naw I'd run it more than that, maybe hour on two hours off then hour on etc. I think your corals may suffer without the light for that long.
