![]() I apologise for not being to offer any advice on your skimmer but just want to say that I do like your rockwork on the right of your tank

![]() On my euro reef you turn the pvc left or right to control flow or bypass....which controls the overflowing of bubbles and water you have there......does yours do that and if so can you turn it clockwise when looking down from the top?

![]() The water level seems pretty high in your sump, there should be a recommended water level for that skimmer. For a Euroreef it's 6-8".

![]() Your water level is way to high, On my euroreef it only works well when in less than 6" of water. Easy solution would to be to build a simple egg crate stand for it to sit on.

![]() With the water level in the return section that low, your return pump must also be sucking air and contributing to the problem. As above, I've raised my skimmer on a makeshift egg-crate platform so water level is <8"... it seems to work OK. I'd raise it a bit higher, but there's no ceiling room!
BTW, and slightly off-topic... I see the riser tube spouting water on several skimmer pics lately. Is that considered "normal" or "OK"? |

![]() My G3 is in 10.5" of water and yours if higher might slow down the flow fr the skimmer drain. Also yes, looks like water way low for your return pump so probably drawing air.
