Default Lighting recommendations

I'm having a new tank built. Corner tank with 40" back sides (diamond shapped) with a depth of approx 28" (back to front) and 20" deep. There will not be any way to mount lights on top due to the shape, so I'm going to have a light stand built into the frame (or possibly a special frame for the top of the tank). Obviously, due to the cost of the tank, I hope I am only doing this once. This will be a reef tank, but not sure of the corals I want to put in, but do not want to be limited due to a poor choice of lighting.

Any suggestions as to what lights I should buy? (with the exceptions of LED's)

We will be selling our 250MH, the bulb and fixture is 6 months old, and it has blue led lights that make a cool moon light effect, but the nicest thing about it is that the light comes with a screw on clamp. So basically you can mount it to any side of your tank. I pd $500.00 for it but will be selling the light for $300.00. Saltaddict should be putting this light up for sale on the buy/sell page soon and there will be pictures. Pm me or Saltaddict if you're interested or have questions etc.

I'm using 250W DE PFO mini pendants screwed to the bottom of my hood. Thing with them is they have a small foot print (7.5x12") so you could mount them if a way that would allow you to place PC or T5s between for actinics or dusk/dawn. Reef Optix IIIs are similiar in size.

Could also do multiples of a combi pendant, PFO Acrolight is one.
