Default Build in Skimmer

I just thought up an idea but was wondering if it had ever been considered or completed before. If you have seen a Red Sea Skimmer you will know what im talking about but has anyone ever considered building a high powered skimmer into the BACK of a tank? So when you build the tank you build it so it has a fake glass wall with about a 3 inch gap between the 2 peices of glass. Drill a hole in the back for the pump and place all of your glass folds to allow for maximum bubbling? (Im sure that made no sense so il draw a picture)

Good idea but your collection cup would have to be above the pump and the venturi for the water to bubble under then the maze of baffles is to difuse the bubbles from not going back into the display.
Move to collection cup to the right with a fairly straight path up to it then redirect the water back to the bottom through the labryinth then back into the display where you have the collection cup now and that should work

So how do you clean it? Do the baffles come out?
