Default Seahare for borrow in Calgary?

Just wondering if anybody has a sea hare that I could borrow to clean up my tank of some hair algae? I am afraid to buy one as my 20g will only keep it fed for a short time, and I dont want to starve one to death. I dont have much to trade, but dont mind paying or working something out.

Thanks guys!

Jason

Hey Jason, I have heard that they are easy to target feed once they are finished with hair algae. I think you can just give them algae wafers to eat. Might be worth checking into.

Thanks Mike, I will take a look. I suppose once I have one, and it has finished it’s “task”, it would not be too hard to find somebody that would take him, as there are always posts for them. Snooping around it looks like they are prone to getting caught in powerheads, so I will have to be careful.

Thanks again!

Well I decided to pick one up today. I will do my best to target feed him, and if I dont have luck I will pass him along once my tank is cleaned up. They sure are ugly little buggers. I'm hoping he is a hard worker!
