Update April, 2011: Still alive at 3 years. Has assumed adult colouration and grown to 6"+. Has demonstrated much higher resistance to ich than other acanthuras I've owned.
Beautiful fish, especially as a juvenile. Seems easy to care for... accepting a wide variety of food, including pellets and nori. Less active and more resistant to ich than A. achilles. Enjoys the services of cleaner shrimp more than most. Is not particularly aggressive toward new Tangs, but was most hated by resident achilles. Yellow bodied as juvenile. Turns Blue with age. Displays vertical pale bands when excited. Turns pale, almost white when requesting cleaner shrimp services.
