![]() Hi,
I have alot of green hair algae in my main tank. I have a sump with macroalgaes in it but the hair algae is continuing to get worse. I have ripped off a bunch of it and was wondering if i can put it in my sump to prevent more from growing in my main tank. I was also wondering what else I could do to get rid of the green hair algae. Thanks |

![]() I currently have about 6 turbo snails, 6 margarita snails, 8 blue legged hermit crabs, 6 left handed hermit crabs and 2 tuxedo urchins. The snails and hermit crabs dont eat any of the hair algae as it has gotten very long. The urchins on the other hand seem to eat it but not at a fast enough pace.

![]() Hello,
Maybe a picture can help. I personally would not put it into the sump as it's gonna find its way back to the main tank. Maybe taking the individual rocks out and brush off the hair algae by hand. Do good water change, and use clean RO/DI water. Titus
