Chemi Clean?
HI there.
We just picked up some red slime remover to help get rid of the cyano that does not want to go away. Now after reading the instructions i just want to make sure i have it right  So i turn off any skimmers and uv for the 48 hours and then another 24 on top of that? So 72 hours total right. And then make sure that i do the 20 percent water change in 48hours. I bought 2 large airstones to keep the o2 up. Can i just put them in my sump or should i add them in the tank? Thanks for the advice

They way I used it (like 6 x last year
 ) was...shut off skimmer; treatment 1; wait 48 hours; treatment 2; wait another 48 hours; 20% water change; fire skimmer back up. So 96 hours, not 72. Be careful though. Even with the 20% water change, the skimmer will want to play funky for awhile.As for the airstones...I tried that the first time, but what a hassle. Saltcreep everywhere. If you have good flow, your water will be oxygenated enough without them. HTH and good luck,
