This might be the wrong place to discuss the merits of a particular brand... but what makes it a "high-end" Salt? Is it the chemical make-up? The consistency of ingredients? Do they guarantee crystal clear water and amazing growth of organisms other than algae???

Generally, better salts will be a closer approximation to NSW than budget products (higher Ca, Mg, ideal pH, kH, no phosphates, nitrates, etc), mix faster and more consistantly and will be less likely to precipitate beneficial elements (higher stability).

That sounds good.... but will they give me a free t-shirt????? (because instant ocean will!!)
I imagine a "premium" salt comes at a premium price, is this something everybody SHOULD be using or is it something for guys who've tweaked and fiddled with everything else they can think of? I guess I'm fishing for is it a night and day difference from IO Reef Crystals? Of course, depending on the price it might have to be PM me with the price please, I'm curious now! |
