![]() Are the branches "Y" shaped? I think it looks that way from the pic if so it's most likely Dictyota algae.

![]() Yes they have a Y shape tip could be a Dictyota algae sp. but there are many kinds.Maybe someone will ID precisely but it's a good start.For now it doesn't seem to be a problem algae it's actually pleasing to look at.

![]() It looks like a branching type of coralline algae to me. Dictyota is brown, flat leaved and quite wide (if that makes sense). The stuff you have looks pink/purple and thinly branched as well as brittle. I don't have my Reef Invertebrates book with me, but there is a pic in there of it with the name I believe.
