![]() For those out there that keep mainly SPS, how often are you feeding them, if at all, and what are you feeding them?

![]() That is a really good question. I have never specifically fed my SPS as i have always had fish in the aquarium as well so just assumed that they would pull whatever they needed out of the water column. I am thinking about setting up a new tank with only coral (SPS) and no fish so wonder what and how often to feed the tank.

![]() I feed mine every blue moon with about a 1/2 tsp of cyclop-eeze, mostly just for fun. I have fed every other day, I have fed newly hatched brine shrimp daily for months, and I've gone over a year with no feeding at all. No difference either way. So if you like to add extra nutrients, feeding SPS is good.

![]() I do the blue moon deal as well. Every once in awhile I decide the tank needs a little something. I've done both reef-roids and reef chili. I don't really notice that the tank responds greatly to it but it makes me feel like I've done something nice for it

![]() Ditto. I've tried feeding and not feeding, no real difference. You might notice more polyp extension when you feed if you feed, but I never noticed a difference in terms of growth or colour. I did notice a difference with my tank nutrient levels though. Very easy to overdo it!
