Well AJ got the jump on me as I was typing this in but I'm going to go ahead with it anyways, since it's a slightly different flavour.

First of all I would like to extend thanks to Jonathan and Katie for taking the initiative and hosting the first meeting. Good job guys. And thanks for all the cheese. :D

Second of all, I thought it would be cool if we had a follow up (a sort of "minutes of the meeting"):

- Since it was a 50/50 split almost for "northerners" and "southerners" we think that we should try to alternate north and south hosted meetings month to month.

- Stated desires of goals for the club include:
1) organization of group orders.
2) sharing of experiences/demonstrations of things we've done that other people may be interested to learn more of.
3) trading of frags

- Seems there are some of us who would be interested in a group purchase of snails from somewhere, in about a months time or in a couple of weeks.

- Although he was unable to attend, Mitch sent word that he needs help in fulfilling an order of sand. (Mitch, are you still visiting this board? Haven't heard from you in a while.) I would be in for a couple of bags. Is there anyone else willing to help out Mitch?

- Alan and Kim are going to fight amongst themselves how to divy up that score of local live sand.

Have I missed anything?

Yeah, that was a GREAT time. I know a couple of guys who don't frequent these boards - decent folk - I may invite them to our next meeting.

Not that I NEED to though, was very impressed with our attendees last night.

Cheers,
AJ

Sorry to jump in on this so late, but I was in Vanc today. I am also sorry to say that I did not make it out to J&L - maybe next time.

Yes the meeting was a huge success. It was great to meet everyone.

Thanks again Jon & Katie for the use of your home and the generous helping of hospitality. The Colt is in place and looking good.

AJ - you will probably have to bring the cookies all the time, they were delicious.

Delphinus - my son can hardly wait to get a BTA from you. It's his favorite.

Bob - hope you recover from the "slap with a wet flounder." Good to see you again.

Dudes - need a hand, maybe. This fellow in Buy-Sell thread with the $10 yellow tang... Nice specimen, good size.

Do you think one of you would baby-sit such a deal until I get my tank in order? I know, it could be a few months. But Ten Bucks??

Come on now! I'll buy it, you get a beautiful ornamental/tempermental fish for awhile. Either help me out or talk me out of it!

AJ ;)

(yesss... cookies are gooooood...)
