![]() Just seeing if there is any interest for this set...The 230/3 skimmer was awesome when I had my 72 gallon, out performing the etss downdraft I had replaced...it is plankton friendly and is extremely quiet. It is rated for 250gallons, but should handle at least 150g. I tried to use it my new 150g but I get such fluctuation in the sump during feed time that the external set didnt help either...The external skimmer set was used for 2 days and cost $190 At JL...The skimmer is less than 7mos. old and cost around $400.
I would like to get $250 firm...or else keep it and find a way to incorporate into my system. Some people have complained that these skimmers are not as good since they do not produce 'thick' waste like others...what they do is take out pure protein from the water...only what is bad. The 230/3 is the same as the 9210 DOC. This skimmer is NOT recommended for purely sps tanks unless a micron bag is incorporated. http://www.jlaquatics.com/phpstore/s...t_ID=tz-pszbox http://tunze.com/149.html?&L=1&C=CA&user_tunzeprod_pi1[predid]=-infoxunter029
