![]() I've got a 15 gallon nano right now and I've put a T5 unit on it with a 14 watt actinic and a 14 watt 10,000k. Any experience with these lights as far as coral growth/maintenance? The colour looks good, and the aquarium looks fairly bright. Is there any comparison to CFs? IE 14 watt T5= 36 watt CF???
Any input would be appreciated. Doug |

![]() Specific personal information? Nope - you'll find plenty on nano-reef.com and RC, there are some HUGE T5 threads there.
As far as I know, there's no direct correlation wattage to wattage, T5 to anything else. T5s are still relatively new, and tis outputs are much more dependant on reflector and ballast than most other light systems. I could be wrong, but aren't the 14w T5 seems more like a NO wattage - what length is the lamp? Andy |

![]() Lenght is 24 inches, I've decided to put a couple of 13 watt 6500K lights over top as well to see if that doesn't brighten things up a bit.
