Default Randy Holmes Farely recipe's Canadian version

Ok Im sure many of you have read or are aware of Randy's recipes for 2 part alkalinity and calcium adding which is supposed to be a cost alternative to the expensive commercial stuff.

First of all does anyone use it, and 2nd, Where do you get your Epsom salts, and Dow flake. Baking soda is a no brainer sold as Arm and Hammer here as well.

Is this recipe good enough to substitute for my kalkwasser? I drip kalk with my RO top off.

Epsom salts you can usually get at any grocery store around the pharmasy area. It's used in baths to relieve muscle sorness, and it's really cheap. It is also mostly a type of magnesium.

Be very careful buying epsom salts as many are perfumed. I think you would be better to go to a pharmacy and ask the pharmacist if they carry a non-perfumed variety.....

RCSS has plain epsom salt that I have used successfully in my cichlid tanks for years. Cheap, too.

Any drugstore should have them.
