![]() so after looking and looking and looking, only to find nothing that I like, I'm tossing around the idea of making my own sump from 3/4" plywood and simply sealing it with something.
can someone help me out as to what I should seal it with? ![]() the alternative is to goto peavy mart and get a 110gal horse trough for $80.. any tips?

![]() go with the horse trough, even sealed, the stink of wood rotting from salt water is horrible and very unhealthy.

![]() My sump is made of ply wood, i fit thin plastic in it and sealed it with something i cant remember what it was. And then to go a bit over board I put pond liner in it as well.

Could line the plywood tank with thin acyclic panels, bonding with Weldon. |

![]() sump is in and now I have some serious water to make because the old 20gal sump doesn't quite cover a lot on the bottom of this monster.

![]() A number of years ago I made some tanks out of plywood and then i fiberglassed the inside. You can buy fiberglass resin at some of the paint stores. I bought mine from Industrial Plastics. Just make sure that the resin used is non toxic when cured.
