Default Need Advice Quick please!

i just came home and saw that my brittle starfish is very injured - i'm not sure if it was a hermit or what but the body looks to have a huge chunk out of it. It's alive but i don't know how - should i take it out?!
what should i do?!

I'm thinking probably just leave it in your tank; make sure all your parameters are accounted for, and if the injury is starting to really affect the starfish, pull it out so it doesn't contaminate the rest of your tank. Float it in a yogurt container clipped to the side of your tank, the container will retain the heat and you'll be able to watch it closely.

Thanks Michika
he's gone to his favorite place in the cave...i'm gonna keep checking him and probably move him to the container clipped in the tank
That was a great idea...thanks

Sorry to hear about the starfish,

but you should try to find out what caused the injury, if a hermit crab did that to a brittle star, it might do worse to corals or fish in the future.

Might want to consider a crab trap or something to catch the culprit and put it in a separate container....
