Default Live Rock

Hi,

I am getting ready to start up a 66 gallon tank and was about to purchase live rock. I have a friend who is selling live rock cheap but he has used copper. I am hesitant to buy this rock as I have heard that inverts will not survive in the tank. Is there a way to get rid of the copper that may be in these rocks?

Just looking for your opinions.

Thanks,
Nadeem

Personally I'd forget about this rock and find some other stuff. Why risk it?

Friends don't let friends buy "Seaclones" and "cheap copper soaked live rock". Seriously though, what Psyire said is soo true. Live rock is the foundation of your biological filtration, purchase it from someone you trust.
