Default Back From Our Fishing Lodge *Pics*

Well For the last three days I have been up at our fishing lodge. The name "Steamer Point Lodge". It is in Nootka Sound and near Esperanza Inlet. My dad took some guys from Peter Kiewit Sons for a little trip. We go up there again on thursday with friends until sunday hopefully. Well now for the pictures!

This was a little balck bear I saw on the way up. Sorry but I could not get any closer and I have horrible zoom.

This would be the gaping mouth of the Ling Cod I caught. It tasted great.

This is the full body Of the Ling.

These are some of the guys my dad took up. All those salmon were caught in the first day. In total out of three boats (not including ours) they caught 24 salmon in three days.

The first dinner YUM.

Heres the hook I left tied to the dock for sharks. No luck because Dog sharks kept taking the bait. Oh ya thats the head of a 22 pound salmon.

These are the fish we caught today. Mines the one with all the scales missing. Two Coho one Spring.

A little bit of paradise.

One of the many Humpback whales we saw.

Humpback whale feeding on pilchards. Yet again I have to balme the zoom.

Well what do you think. I will have many monre pictures in a new thread on sunday or later. My fish count was

27 Pilchards
2 Mackerel
4 Rock Cod (All were released)
1 Ling Cod
1 Coho Salmon

Matt

Last year we went to Uculet (sp?) & the 10 years old 80lb kid in the group caught a 110 lb halibut on the fishing tour. It was the biggest fish of the season up to that point.

Matt, you are very lucky to have these opportunities. Enjoy & cherish these times.

I"m taking my dad fishing Labour Day
