getting rid of coralline

The front of my tank is getting pretty covered in coralline algae. I got a regular green scrubber thing that is used for kitchen and bathroom cleaning, but that doesnt seem to get the algae off. What does everyone use?

Razorblades for sure. For all you Lee Valley fans. They sell six colorful plastic holders with blades included for $3.50.

I bought the hagen scrapper for $6, at my pet store with a long handle. But the edges of the blades are rounded, so you don't scratch the glass on your tank, which I found is very easy to do with regular razor blades if not done very carefully

can't go wrong with a razor blade

just be sure to rinse it with fresh water and dry it, otherwise it'll make for a short lifetime of your raz0r.

Careful with that green kitchen scrubber.

Used one on my glass tank on the side looked okay (didn't appear to scratch) so did the front. After a couple weeks started to notice some fine scratches.

Pick up a piece of dowling from the hardware store and cut an angled slot in it to fit the razor blade... makes it easier to get at hard to reach spots... plus, you get to keep your hands out of the tank.... my anemone doesn't like my hands!!!!
