Default feeding while away

I was wondering will the fish (clowns, firefish) eat those slow disolving cubes or do they work best for freshwater

or should i get a autofeeder ??

An autofeeder is optional, most fish will be fine without food for a week, if you do get an auto-feeder I suggest the Eheim auto-feeder.

I agree, if you will only be away for a week feeding is not a problem. I think the major problem that you can have is about your water and maybe your equipment not feeding your fish.

do you know anyone that can drop by every couple days to make sure water is topped up and feed then?

What area of Edmonton do you live in btw?

Yeah, prepare some top up water & proportion out some food & get someone to drop in about 3 or 4 days into your trip to top up the water & drop in some food. If you prep ahead of time & leave explicit instructions, they should be able to handle it.

I went away for 2 weeks in feb. The biggest problem that I didn't think of was heat. We turned the house heating system way down, and the heater in the sump couldn't handle it. My brother inlaw who was checking things out said the temp dropped to 70! Everything was okay.

He did top off (which I made) but food was done by autofeeder (just flakes for the 2 weeks). I'm going away another 2 weeks, there will be people at home, but I got a autotopoff this time around. My biggest concern is a heatwave now, and the temp getting too high.
