attack damsels

as i was cleaning up abit in my tank today both my yellow tailed damsels attacked me . they've never done this before and they would come after me repeatedly even with me waving them away. I have never seen them this aggressive they've always been kind of dosile towards me and most fish except the lawn mower blenny.
If any ideas of why they've become this ay it would be a great help.

My female ocellaris clown started attacking me just before she first spawned a few weeks ago. Maybe you have a mated pair.

as always you guys are right i lifted the rock they were protecting and sure enough there was the eggs. any idea of how long the till they hatch if they hatch at all?

I once had a mating pair, years ago. They were vicious and attcked my hand and arm everytime I was near them. They actually bit the skin.

It would be a toos up, which were the worse. Them or my former pair of cinnamons, that like to grab a hold of the skin between your fingers. Speaking of which, I,m going to help the guy clean some crap in the tank today, where they now reside.

They should hatch but unhless you move the rock into another tank they will become fish food

I've read that damsels usually take 3-7 days for the eggs to hatch. My clowns laid their second batch on Monday so I'm now approaching the seventh day. Unfortunately, they're in a community reef tank so the chances of success are almost nil.

Anthony, if you contact Wendell at Ocean Aquatics or do some reading on raising Clownfish you'll find out it's a lot of work to try to raise them. You may end up with 1000 Plus larvae that you need to feed and do water changes for etc etc etc etc.. (whew I'm sweating just typing all that)
