Default My First Reef Tank

Greetings,

This is my first SW/REEF Tank.

There is 65lbs of Jakarta live rock from Ocean Aquatics I picked up today. I wish I could show you guys a better photo - there is a lot of colour and life on it. In a few months, it's going to look like a rainbow. The solid purple pieces are Fiji rock from cyntax's tank. They are completely covered in coraline. In total, there is probably about 70 - 75 bs of rock. Might be a bit too much, I will decide later...

Huge thanks to the guys at Ocean Aquatics. Unbelievable help with the rock. Best customer service I have ever received, bar none.

Setup:

55G
Coralife LunarLight 48" 4 - 65 PC
Prizm Skimmer (Got a Remora Pro for the sump)
802 and 402 Powerheads
CaribSea Reef Sand ~ 60 lbs

I am in the process of setting up a 33g sump, and the clear hose is from a 10g fuge.

Full Tank Shot

Please give me any suggestions/comments you feel would make the tank look better.

Cheers,

Chad

I am leaving town for a few days on the 19th, but when I come back, I will be going on a frag buying spree.

looks nice!!!

one little suggestion.. take or leave it, no biggy... but maybe lower your heater? My biggest worry would be the evap... and the heater sticking out of the water.

Yeah, its a little far fetched.. but you never know

Yeah... I hear yah.

I am actually setting up a sump, so once it is ready to go, I will be moving it in there. I moved it up so I could get my rock placed without it being in the way.

Thanks though!
