![]() Just had my first Firefox crash. It took all my bookmarks with it when it went down. Some 300 or so bookmarks ... all gone, wiped clean.
Apparently this is not too uncommon. There are extensions that will backup your bookmarks automatically. If you use Firefox, I recommend getting one of those profile backup extensions ... Wish I had known that a few hours ago.

![]() It's Mozilla's latest Browser.
It does have some nice features over IE, plus better security and some other things. www.getfirefox.com

ftp://<username>:<password>@<ftp ip address or url>:<port number> For example, on my telusplanet server I do this ftp://myusername:mypassword@www.telusplanet.net:21 If your ftp port is 21 then you can omit the ":21" part. In case you're wondering, no, those are not my true user name and password HTH -Rich ![]() |

![]() firefox kicks ass! ive used every browser ever made including beta .7 of netscape and every frickin version of ie. firefox is by far the slickest thing i think ive ever used.
backing up your files (including bookmarks) is always a good idea. i even back up my messanger contact lists. if you want a good alternative to outlook try mozilla thunderbird. it will import all your mail, settings and password, you litterly have nothing to setup. anyhow.. go opensource.. weeeee |

![]() I don't know if the Linux version has the same potential weakness. If fact I'd be surprised if it did.
