Default "Alive light em up" conversion T5 to LEDs

Went into Pisces today and saw a T5 bulb conversion with LEDs on it instead of a fluorescent bulb. It fits into a T5 bulb slot but it's LEDs. The 48" bulb was going for $45 plus you need to purchase a separate transformer for $20. Just wondering if anyone has used it and is it worth it.

As far as I know those leds don't compare to t5s. Not that I am against LEDs just those one in particular are meh as far as I know. Tagging along though in case someone knows otherwise.

I'd have to see some of the PAR readings and spectrum analysis to see if they are worth while.

After looking into it the 48" Bulb, it Has 45 diodes but only 10 watts total. I don't think these would be suitable for a reef.

There's no cheap way with quality LED lighting. the evergrows or similar are about as cheap as you can go
